Why can I not get a break?
So this has happened 3 times now.
I am driving on a fairly hot day (85) and the check engine light comes on. (my heater is off) I stop and go into the mall and let it cool off. I come back out and turn on my heater and am okay driving for about 15 minutes. My ZJ throws on the check engine light again and nothing reads out of the normal....
Then Yesterday it was hot out and I had the heater off and it kicked into over drive and then the check engine light came on and it went back to normal. I let it sit for 30 or 40 min and then went out and turned the heater on and drove for about 30 minutes and it did the same thing. Any ideas?

Ah. One problem. It does not do it when I have an appointment, and when it does do it, no one has the time to look at it...

the light doesn't have to be on for someone to check the code it is stored in the memory

Yes, use the "key-on, key-off" technique to pull any stored codes on a 1995. As mentioned, the check engine light does NOT have to be on to pull stored codes from a prior event. Any check engine light will (should) set a stored code.
Post the EXACT codes here for comment.
Without those codes, we're just guessing. Best to use the technology provided to you by your Jeep!
