Default who knows what part im missing?

Im leaking coolant on at a pretty good rate can anyone tell me what im missing here? You can see the little hose where the coolant is dumping out. Im currently in the middle of the country (Missouri) and need to make it back to San Diego this week. Do i need a new part or is there a way to patch it and get back if an auto parts store does not have one in stock. Thanks Guys.

Its right up on the passenger side towards the firewall

That is the HVAC case drain for condinsation to drain out, it's normal to have water coming out of that, but not coolant. Is the coolant level low?

Yeah my coolant level is low, i did some more research and apparently you can just loop the hoses and bypass the heater core which is what i can do until i get back to California.

Ok, I'm Just trying to get this clear in my head. First that hose is just for the condensate. Why would you want to bypass the heater core? Is it leaking? Are you sure you are losing antifreeze from the heater core? Did you over heat? If you are leaking antifreeze from the heater core you can be passing it from the hose. And yes, You can bypass the heater core by looping the heater hoses. Just remember the two hoses are different sizes.

The heater core also aids in cooling the engine. Did you see green coolant coming out of the drain and do you smell coolant coming from the ducts?

if it is coolant have you checked the heater control valve. i didn't see one in the picture but maybe it was out of frame. mine leaks from there a lot and Ive replaced it with a new one and 2 weeks later leaking again. so i check it often to make sure its not leaking from the little metal arm.

Well it's my understanding that that is where the heater core would be leaking from it it was faulty. I believe it's both anti freeze and condensation leaking out of there. I have been running my a/c 24/7 in this heat right now so the **** in my dash is on full cool. I haven't turned the heater on so I have no idea what that would do. As far as the temp of the leak it was warm but not scalding when I touch it. It's never been overrated or have the needle go over 210 but I am having to add more water to the resivor because it's getting low.

I used the same size hoses for both lines on my heater core. Took a little extra muscle to push the one on but no big deal.

I bypassed mine. Broke on me during a tune up so I junked it as just ran the lines to the heater core itself. Haven't notices a difference at all.

If your heater core is leaking, it ends up on the passenger side floorboards and you can smell it in the cab. I've never seen a leaky heater core spit out A/C drain plug.

Edit: Also, add the details of your Jeep to the gizzy under your name. Some years have heater control valves (which control coolant flow through the heater core) and some do not. If you don't, then coolant will be flowing through the heater core no matter what your HVAC controlls are set at.

Running the AC like that, you should EXPECT a surprising amount of water to drain out from around there.

For me, the smell, and the windshield fogging are clear sign's the heater core is leaking.

Needing to add coolant could be allot of things.

Agreed... I think we were sent on a wild goose chase with the photo. Step 1 define the problem.
