For those who have cut or removed their stock front bumper.....where do you relocate the vaccum can and the horns to?

It stuffs pretty nicely between the power distribution block/coolant bottle and the dizzy pretty nicely. I never mounted mine just kind of let it chill there but you could zip-tie it down.

I used a self tapper screw and put it on the fender well behind the fuse box and the horns I removed the passenger side and took the drivers side and pushed it up higher into the fender.

Is the canister completely necessary because mine got busted when replacing my stock bumper and I just plugged the hole with a self rapper everything still works though

its only necessary if you want your ac and heat to work on multiple settings and not just the defroster, also even with a slight vacuum leak when you accelerate your air will go up to defrosters as vacuum is applied to the canister. also if you have cruise control it maintains that operation as well in the older jeeps

Some things, like my heater valve, need vacuum even when I have my foot in it and there is next to no manifold vacuum. Guess that's what the bottle is for, a resavour. Slick's is slick, mounted under the coolant bottle. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/member...can-relocated/

Engine compartment layout varies between years.
A good place to remount the vacuum canister is at the bottom of the radiator support, right in front of the harmonic balancer.
It's out of the way and protected.
There is enough room for even the large canister.
MOD shown on a 94 Sport 4.0L

An added plus: NO DRILLING required as there are two holes there already.
Just need a length of flat bar (I used some S.S. I had laying around)
A few new bolts (I recommend S.S.)
and a small length of hose to extend the OEM hose.
