Make sure the rear orifice and tube to the intake manifold are clear and free. List of harnesses is below. Grommet is a Dorman 42088.
Renix Vacuum Harnesses
The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367
The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK-715-1366.
The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number 715-1365.

Rear elbow contains the a certain size hole. The front elbow is open. Its designed to vent all the time. PCV valves only operate with positive pressure

Working at NAPA is great, but sometimes I can't quite get a straight answer from my co-workers... At least, not ones I understand haha

big tube is the air inlet yes (under vacuum), and also releases excess positive crankcase pressure.
Small tube is the metered outlet to the manifold

Ok I got tired of reading pcv ccv arguments. So whatever system i have... would the lack of the hose to the rear of the valve cover cause the engine to bog down when accelerating and possibly shut off completely. That's the issue I'm dealing with

It's a huge vacuum leak without it.

Confused worse now!
Just removed a k&n filter from my 95 Cherokee 4.0 and replaced with stock, I got from junk yard. I know where I made error, just not how to fix it. I also removed and cleaned the throttle body, idle air valve and TPS, put it all back with a new gasket and proper torque. My manual shows connections from " fixed orifice" ( rear of valve cover) to vacuum fitting ( check!) And from the front of valve cover to air cleaner housing. whomever put in the k&n placed a piece in that valve cover opening, that has no way to connect to air cleaner housing. I connect the air cleaner housing to the vacuum line that was available, I just traced and saw connect back to evap. Nope. Got smart and looked at original vacuum....what part do I need to get to make the connection from front of valve cover opening to air cleaner housing?
This is what is where I need to make connection from valve cover to air cleaner. Is no way to make connection. Assume was modified when k&n filter was put in

Front elbow and grommet in valve cover
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Anyone have the part number for the front elbow? You can get the rear orifice elbow and grommets in the Dorman/Help stuff in any auto parts store but the front elbow is non-existent and looking on the various Mopar parts websites they don't even list the part.
I'm about to go buy another orifice elbow for $5 and drill it out but figured I'd give this a shot first. I called my local dealer and some woman answered. I asked her and her response was "Dem 4 point ohs don' have a PCV valve". Thanks lady - that isn't what I asked. I called back 2 more times and she kept answering so I gave up.
