Someone start a vacuum diagram thread and we'll post the diagrams.
After that, start a shoe tying thread and a shirt buttoning thread.
If that all is successful, we'll do an *** wiping thread, with photos.
Yea, it's so obvious that dealers can charge $200 for 5 mins of work in the biggest recession of 80 years.
Like I've said before, if you make less than $200,000 in your day job, you need a career counselor!
It's just funny how out of touch with reality you gearheads are.

I understand why most are kinda knocking on the idea of a writeup on vacuum lines. Myself I am usually pretty good working with wiring and plumbing diagram, do it all the time at work, but I have to admit, on my 85xj I have looked over several vacuum and wiring diagrams and once I pop the hood, there is nothing under there that even looks close to the diagrams, and mine is completely stock.
Something with actual photos would be a great help.

No a write up would be awesome. But not from bummer. It would take him 4 days to replace the 4 lines on a newer cherokee. Dont even ask him to do a v6 xj..... it would take hime 400 years and about 6000 rants on how the dealer would charge $4000 an hour to fix it.

how can a LAWYER call a mechanic a thief... what do they charge an hour? How immoral are they? casey anthony's defense attorney? Jesus.. YOU KNOW THE ***** KILLED HER BABY GIRL... how can you defend that with a straight face?
Most mechanics I have ever met are great guys... consumers are just cheap whiny bastards who want free ****
I was hanging out at a local exhaust/everything shop in a "not so good" part of town... and a guy pulled up and asked how much to fill a few tires with air... buddy of mine just shrugged and said 5 bucks... (close to lunch time, it would pay for a burger)
guy flipped his lid and said "Air is free!" i popped back... "the compressor isn't, can you blow 35psi?"
Made him shut up.
