That does not seem to be too off base. I keep sharp track of my temps (with alarms) via obd2 monitoring. And it typically runs 206-210 at 60-65mph. And if I run it harder (above 65mph, it starts to creep up closer to 212+). One thing to keep in mind is it takes a lot of power to go from 65 to 70. (the hp required to increase one mph gets higher and higher as the speed goes up).

If you maintain your cooling system and it functions properly, you don't need alarms set to tell you when it gets hot. Unless you like over analyzing everything, in which case you should wire alarms on all your gauges. You could have different sounds for each. A ding for oil pressure, a buzz for excess speed and a gong for excess RPM's.

Overheating at highway speeds often indicates a bad radiator.

I have a 96 with a dummy dash (just speedo and fuel gauge), everything else is just a lamp. I run a digital dashboard to side with a bluetooth obd2 scanner so that I can see that the vehicle is doing. It cost a wopping $30 to add, so that I don't have to trust my engine to an idiot light. If that's not your style, cool.

I still haven't put my mechanical fan in yet and the electric fan only kicks on while it sits idling for a bit but temps still don't get too high. When driving it never gets hot enough to kick on. Haven't driven it on the highway yet that's a scary thought right now. Anything over 55 and I have a little wobble so no highways yet. I did of caorse flush the cooling system and replaced the water pump, thermostat, and thermostat housing and a non leaking radiator out of my parts jeep.
