whats that pop
i installed new ball joints and a track bar a couple of weeks ago . also replaced front sway bar bushings. it really smoothed things out but every once in a while when i turn left or right from a stop i get a pop sound from the front . everything checks out that i can tell. it just does it periodically. also the sway bar bushings that clamp around the bar at front, do they fit tight or kinda loose?

It does that on 2WD? Mine does that in 4WD only because the new U-joint for the front axle is here on the floor, not on the axle.
I mean clicking, popping and that stuff..I even feel dragging..happens with a bad U-joint on the front axle in 4WD. I don't mean to distract, those guys ^^ know their suspension. (mine is negative)

can i rule out the ball joints? They are spicer brand and i dont want to do it again. the track bar was a china make im sure from ebay. 35.00 bucks shipped i know ,i know.looked pretty good though. ive turned wheels and cant get it to do it.its just one of those every now and then problems. but it definately makes a pop like something in a bind then popping free.

I'm going with track bar as well. Every time you turn there is stress put on it. A bad bushing or loose bolt will definielty make some noise. Also, are you lifted? At one point I had a stock TB with 4.5" of lift and it would occasionally pop on turns.

THIS!!!!
You cannot tell anything by turning the wheels yourself. You have to either pull the bracket and visually inspect it or have somebody turn the wheels for you...This may not be the problem but its FREE and its also EASY... so please do this before you get too worried about things.
On a different note I would suggest going with a double shear track bar set up. I know you just bought a brand new one but a double shear comes with a new bracket that is MUCH thicker and newer and is overall a better setup. They can be had for $150 or less if you shop. I helped my buddy install one and it changed the entire feel of the Jeep and eliminated this exact problem. If I had more cash and didn't have to worry about replacing all my floors and rockers and inner fenders and patching the roof this would be on the top of my list.

Thats nuts! You had to be dog tracking pretty badly lol. I wouldn't go over 2" lift without at least moving the Track bar over a little on the axle side. IIRC 3/8" over for 3" lift on the axle side.
