what is wrong with my jeep!?
its corrosion in the battery cables or battery failure. mine would shut off power to cab when i TRIED TO TURN THE JEEP ON. I replaced the battery cables and battery and solved it
One last question: Did you try jumping the solenoid?
If it doesn't crank, it's definitely your Starter and/or Cables!
Take your Starter out and go get it tested... Besides "They" can give you the answers that you want to hear!

Again, i'd love to give honest answers to people that are in need of help. There are also times when people have enough information and it's just time to go to work! I'm not trying to abuse the forums...
I'm just trying to keep it real!
A Bad connection at the Starter ! (Loose, Corroded etc)
A Loose ground strap Somewhere !
Intermittant electrical problems are sometimes hard to locate but since you did spill oil on the starter I would start there...
Have you checked the battery voltage ? Use a volt meter and test the battery should be very near 12 Volt DC. Watch the voltage as a helper tries to start the engine. Does the voltage drop to near "0" Or stay steady ??
If it stays steady then you are not presenting any load to the battery. ie. Bad loose connectios etc !!
If it drops to near "0" When trying to start it, then the Starter load is too great for the battery. ie. Bad Starter or Battery !

sounds to me like the main fuse.... when i blew mine it did exacty the same thing lights in the cab worked but other then that it was worthless it cost 75c to fix it... its worth checking
For a while mine was doing something similar....it would jump fine and stay running but the second I turned it off it wouldn't start back up. I'd throw the battery on the charger and it was good. Turned out to be a combination of loose connections and a shot battery.
