What temperature does the stock electric fan come on at?

217 degrees,alot depends on that actually happening though,but that is the design temp.

does the sensor only control the fan or does it control other things?

i no longer have a mechanical fan and am tring to get the fans to kick on at the temperaturs i want. getting the new fan dialed in but now wanting to maybe change at which point the stock electric fan kicks on

I put a variable resitor inline with the stock temp sensor to fine tune. My sensor what on the high end of the "acceptable" range, meaning it was reading higher than what the actual temp was. 50 to 70 ohm should translate to the gauge/PCM reading roughly 7-10º lower at operating temp. Enough to bump it down a little, but not enough to effect anything else.

that is good info. i a pretty close to just running it off of a different thermal switch. i got a vw one that has two outputs, one at 195 and one at 210. havent decided yet though
