Default What is this supposed to be hooked up to.

Hey guys, i got my Jeep a few weeks ago and i noticed this vacuum line that is not attached to anything. Any one know what this line is supposed to be hooked up to. When i place my finger over it, the engine idle slows down but continues to run. I have an 87 Cherokee Limited. 4 liter - selec-track 4wd

No random vacuum lines hanging anywhere that look like the right one? If there was enough lights, I'd run out to my brother's Jeep and see where it goes to.

If I'm not mistaken that runs to either the thermostatic dealy on the air box, or over to the inner fender next to the air box

Ok got it figured out.
That diagram solved it, the vacuum line plugs into the Bi-metal temp sensor on the air box. Thanks for the help.
I'll post pictures once I get to my computer to help anyone else that might have this issue.

The white hose is temporary, ill be replacing it with vacuum line soon, but it illustrates where the connections are pretty well.
