I'd go memphis or mtx. Either have great sound quality and are less expensive.

That sounds like a good set up to me. Alpine makes a really nice sounding speaker and kicker makes a killer sub that hits hard. And all at a reasonably cheap price.

You will never get the correct answer, only opinions. I like Polk Audio.

Im an alpine fan. I have an alpine head unit and I plan on changing all my speakers to Alpine S. Good speakers are important but a quality head unit is even more important. A good head unit can make crapy speakers sound good but good speakers cant make a crapy head unit sound good.

X2. I had a pioneer head unit w Sony speakers and they sounded crappy. Changed over to an Alpine head unit and all of a sudden my crappy speakers sounded way better.

Ive got a sony xplode head unit with Bluepunkt 6.5" door speakers, sounds pretty decent untill you run a high amount of drum and bass through it at high volume

ive been running my panasonic head unit polk audio door speakers and a set of boston G2 12s, (subs) i can turn it as loud as i can stand and you can hear every word, it hit a 151db at the car show i went to, ot has the best sound quality outta any other set uo ive had, kicker makes a good sub but, i think you lose sound quality they hold together and hit i just feel they distort the music at higher volume
