Default What is this sound?

If i ever go to take off in a hurry and push it, something from somewhere (sounds more so in the front) makes a grinding-ish noise? I don't have any clue what this could be. When i step on it, it spits out this quick pitiful noise.. almost like something seizes momentarily then breaks free.

It's like undescribable. Maybe i'll tell my brother to hop in and i'll get his 2 cents, he's had a number of XJ's and an MJ. It's just like forcing something to work/spin without lubricant.. and all my fluids are full. So frustrating.

Can you take a video of it with audio and upload it to photo bucket? Would probably help.

Are the brake slave cylinder piston/pistons sticking? Leaving pressure on the pads/ or shoes after braking.?

I can try, not sure how well it will pickup the audio.

It shouldn't be, it only does it when i get on it to get out infront of someone or just be a jackass and take off.

My second guess, cause possum was already said, is the front DS. If the joint is really bad, then it can make a grinding noise. Does it get worse when you do this is 4wd? Let's see.. Could just be the exhaust hitting the cross member, or the fan shroud isn't fully secured and will shift just a bit under hard acceleration and rub the fan? (mine did!). Ah, what else.. Yeah, with out more info, it's a mystery..
