Courtesy light.... I like that idea.
I would just plug my extra speakers in and see if they start working with the stereo. Its a crappy aftermarket stereo installed by the previous owner, so I have no clue if the plug is even connected on the other end at the stereo.... I dont want a stereo system that some people build for contests, but I do like a nice loud, clear, crisp sounding stereo and speakers that give just enough bass that its heard in the vehicle, but not outside. I have that pioneer 8" and my 3" infinities have capacitors on them to block bass.... I also have the speaker bar in the back cargo area that I think may have been installed by the previous owner. I say that because I dont think that is a normal option on a Sport trim XJ, maybe I'm wrong. I dont even know if my rear door speakers work, or if t here are any in there. Maybe its the 2 front doors and the sound bar in the back. I haven't adjusted my fade and balance and checked out the rear doors. I CAN say that my current setup sucks for clarity, bass, etc and I really want to church it up. I do have a 500W amp and all the wiring I bought for an old vehicle that I never installed. So I have a lot of stereo stuff laying around. I'm an electrical guy, just not a stereo electrical guy so I wouldn't know if I'm hooking it all up correctly...

Nice.
I saw a write up somewhere about how to get a build sheet, but they say '96 and prior could be hit or miss with getting one because the people responsible for making and filing the build sheets apparently sucked at their job and didn't always do it.. Maybe its pre 2000, I dont remember exactly. I will give it a shot anyway.

Actually nevermind, I found it. It worked for me. Seems pretty vague as it just has a list of things on the jeep, no specs or anything... very simple list. Is that all it is?
