Exclamation what is the name of this hose?

Are you pointing at the A/C line? It's an aluminum/rubber tube connecting the dryer to the compressor.

no the rubber hose that's underneath it its connected to that black cylinder which i don't know the name of either haha.

the a/c manifold hose! its also called a suction and discharge hose.

I think you're looking at the same thing I was. I do see another hose underneath, but my '99 XJ Sport doesn't have anything there.

That is part of the evap emissions equipment.

That hose goes to the air filter of the pump that tests your evaporative system.Your system is sealed and that pump builds up pressure to test.If your gas cap is loose or bad or if a hose is bad then you will get a check engine light and a code.Some of these hoses are not available separately,you have to buy a whole assy.Get one the next time you go to the junkyard
