ok so my xj now has a wierd rattling noise in the front end that sounds kinda like how a screw does when it bounces on metal realy fast it does it when im on the breaks sometimes stoped and start going and goes away at around 25mph any ideas on what i should check first or what it might be?
If it does this only when your useing you breaks I would think it could be a rotor, caliper, pad, or your caliper sliders. I would pull off the calipers and then put grease inside the rubber boots between the boot and the sliders. I would also dab some grease on the caliper bolt, not treads though and put it all back together.
