Default what is this hose?

Hey everyone,

i found this hose hanging down on my '01 Cherokee limited today and i don't know what it should attach to? i need some help. it has a heat shield type wrap around it and it is hanging down on the drivers side and runs up the firewall and attaches up there to nothing??? in the pic it ends at a little white plug type thingy on the end. any help would be appreciated

There's no pic but i'm guessing it's the breather hose for your front diff, should go right into the back of the diff and just slide into a hole.

Yea it's the breather hose, it just slides into the diff

haha your welcome and no problem, when i finished my lift I was relieved that we don't have anything to wheel around here since a week after my friend said he found a part of that hose in his garage from when we took it off just to get it out of the way, if i lived by any jeep trails i could of kissed my spiders goodbye

There's actually a breather ftting on the differential that that hose connects to. It doesn't just plug into the differential.
