Default what is going on?! SECOND water pump, fail safe t-stat. STILL overheating!

I dont know whats going on with my jeep.

Ive just replaced my t-stat with a new fail safe version and today replaced my water pump for the second time in 2 weeks.

the first round I replaced my t-stat and water pump and drove around and jeep overheated. so I say, I guess I just got a defective water pump. so i go get the most expensive best one.

it still overheats and no water is pumping through the upper hose, that i can feel or tell when I hold the hose in my hand with the engine running.

does anybody have any pointers, tips or ideas of what might be going on?

anything would be awesome!

Thanks guys

I guess my question is should water be flowing through the upper hose that goes to the t-stat all the time? or will it take a few to kick in and start flowing?

I had the same problem with mine, it was getting an air bubble stuck by the thermostat and took forever for it to open up, once i got it open i would close the cap on the resevoir and let it pressurize the system and the water would slowly bleed into the engine then fill the resevoir back up . after doing this for about30 minutes the system was full and never had another problem, its a PITA but it worked and since i didnt have a radiator cap( only resevoir) it has to pressurize before it will suck water into the system

srry bro,
dont have time to read everthing....
But I dont reccomend Fail safes.... I put 2 of them in my jeep and over heated like crazy.... put in a diff brand, and bam.... No issues....
So I'd look at that first...

Or the problem that I had was that she overheated too many times and the fins started crumbling out of the radiator rendering it ineffective to do its job....went to a junkyard and found one brand new in the bow for 100$!! definite score!
