What to get off of a parts jeep
I have a 99, bought a 2000 Xj as a parts car, for $200.
I want to strip parts that I need/want off of it, and send the rest to the wreckers.
Obviously you guys don't know what my jeep needs, but is there anything special I should grab that I may NOT think of? I'm in Ottawa Canada if anyone needs something!

I'd grab pretty much all sensors around the throttle body, TPS, IAC, MAP sensor. As well as the CPS and the NSS. I have a donor transmission and tb that have saved me a few times from spending $50 or so at the parts store, but then again you never know what condition they're in, but hey free parts.

Personally i would pull everything that can come off of it and put it in the garage. I am still kicking my self for not keeping a parts jeep that I got for free from a friend here at work.

Nuts bolts and interior plastics are nice. X2 on pulling EVERYTHING THAT COMES OFF. It's there. I put my kids to work. Pull it all and box it up. Can always sell it later. The prices only go up as fewer and fewer jeeps survive.
I also learned a lot about where stuff goes and how to work on it while disassembling. Beer, a Tigers game, and a socket set. Have fun!

If you have the space, keep everything you can get off. You can always dispose of it later if not needed.

I would recommend not letting the doors and door glass go to the wreckers. At least where I'm at, seems that doors and associated items are hard to come by in anything but trashed condition.

Every damn interior screw you can find, every time I take my dash apart or trim off I lose 2-3 of them, my jy doesnt charge for them so I get a sandwhich bag full everytime I go

So I started tonight. Pulled the whole front steering/suspension assembly.
I bought this for $200 bucks unseen from a guy off the Facebook group for my local 4x4 club. Turns out it was a SCORE
New(ish) PS pump
4.5" rough country springs
JKS J-Axis adjustable upper and lower Ca's
New(ish) Rad
Aftermarket Header. Not sure on the brand yet, Dumps into 2 pipes, then into one. This looks like it might only be for a 2000+ year?
I pulled the whole front axle for now, am hoping the gearing is a big higher than mine, the tag is gone which states the gearing, so Ill need to count.
Just getting started, thanks for the ideas!

Was there anything wrong with the jeep? I mean for $200 the guy was either being generous or wanted it gone and to get a couple bucks from it because it stopped working.

The rear leafs are done, twisted and the frame is cracked at the rear leaf mount on driver side.
He was bringing home a J10 and wanted this gone same day, so asked $250, I offered 200. I wasn't in the market for a parts jeep, but he was around the corner. Great pickup, just found an aftermarket steering box brace too. I was going to make my own! Ill modify this one instead.
