Ok... so wait. And please PLEASE forgive my running in circles... Im desperately trying to understand.
So my NP231 has BOTH switches, correct? One activates the vacuum motor for the CAD (the vacuum switch), and the other is the electronic one that simply illuminates the light?

The light comes on because of the vacuum present after you shift into 4hi or 4lo. If you know your CAD works, but don't have a light, just trace it.
Soon I will try to get rid of the CAD harness, and use maybe a 3way valve and new hoses to keep it vacuum operated, or do a homebrew posi-loc and just be done with it. Then I can have 2lo!
