Yes, it would be worth it. Benefits include not driving around on a piece of limp spaghetti...The D35 is not known for it's strength.

Ok, is there a kit to do it? I can get a 44 pretty cheap. How hard would it be to swap it out?

Ya, we kinda need to know what it's out of. If it's out of an XJ, bolt it in and go assuming that the gear ratio matches your front axle. If it's out of something else, then you will have to remove whatever suspension brackets are on it and weld on new spring perches and shock mounts. Then you'll have to sort out the brakes and driveshaft. Again, this is assuming that the gear ratio matches your front axle.

front or rear, Wagoneer front D44 are very popular to swap, along with some ford HP D44, after that most people go to D60s and stuff like that. gearing wise for 33s 4.56 is pretty good and still leaves u room in case u go to 35s at some point

rear xj D44s are kinda pricey cuz they are "rare" prbly around $200(if ur lucky)-$400, so shop around and look at other forums, there usually for sale on some of the other ones
