Default What am i doing wrong!

Ok so i have written another post about this. Though im really out of ideas. I recently came back from the military and wanted a jeep. I found a 96 sport with 128k auto. Since i have gotten it, it has a shake at idle. Pretty noticable!! I have changed, spark plgs, spark plug wires, cap rotor, fuel filter, ica, tps, cleaned out the sea foamed, cleaned throttle body, IM STUMPED I DO NOT KNOW WERE TO GO NEXT!!

My jeep used to idle rough before I installed a hi-flow cat, new muffler, and new tail pipe. Before my steering wheel would jump around at idle because of vibrations. Now it idles beautifully. Stock exhaust at that many miles can cause poor idle. I was at 135k miles then, but especially look at the cat. How bad does it shake?

You could feel it in the steering wheel and in the cab, Its the point were you cant even ignore it. Here is the kicker, there is no codes, no check engine, no loss of power, no hestate nothing!! ITS ONLY AT A STOP?

My guess would also be an engine or tranny mount. Sounds like typical symptoms to me

Try putting a pry bar between the engine side of the motor mount and the 'frame' mount. If it moves around, replace the mount. They are a common replacement due to the harsh enviroment they live in (oil, heat, trying to control all the torquebof the mightly inline six). Stock replacements are ok, but several vendors offer upgrades that will give better control and longer life. Every Jeep I have bought, has had to have them replaced.

Please check them first. No need to waste time and money, only to end up frustrated. If you want to do that, get married. LOL.

That's how they look straight off the shelf.

What RPM is the thing idling at when it's shaking?
