Yes all the same. It runs fine no hesitation or back fire. Just passed smog. It's only at idle.

Do you have access to another Jeep?

If so swap in MAP sensor. I had the same issue in my 98 and chased it for over a year. I did some work on a 99 and scored a free MAP from the old motor and bang, all roughness disappeared. I had been told that the MAP wouldnt cause the symptoms I had but it did.

I thought I read that stretched timing chain can cause this too? Im sure someone here has a way to test a timing chain?

I get that from time to time. An old cat will cause it too. O2 sensors even in the steering wheels. If its a jeep you gonna keep these are things you'll eventually have to change. Good luck

I'd give the motor mounts another look. If you say the rubber is too small for the bracket does that mean there is a gap between rubber and bracket? Rubber should fill the entire bracket.

Yes the rubber seems smaller then what the bracket should be. I think i guess i will just keep driving and wheeling with it. I feel as im chasing a ghost!!
