I've been thinking of running some new exhaust from front to back. I shopped around and I can get all of the parts including pre-bent pipes but I don't have access to a welder. Even if I did I don't know how to weld. Would it be ok to just use clamps or would I end up with leaks at every joint? Trying to avoid the cost of labor $65/hr! Has anyone done exhaust this way?

If you drag a clamp over a rock, it's going to break. Mine is mashed dang near flat, and I actually need to fix it, but it doesn't leak. The welds did not break either. If you are not wheeling in the rocks, I guess clamps are OK, but I like the welded option better. My $.02 worth, HTH!!

I'd definately have it welded at some point...I hear ya with cost and what not...but might as well have it secure...And trust me on this...STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP WELDING SHOPS! Got exhaust done on my pick-up years ago...hadn't taken my welding courses at that point...stupid guy used a stick welder to weld it...LEAKS EVERYWHERE! Try going with mig or tig and if you know a good welder you can use stick.
