weird temperature
my tempertature has been running around 130 ish even when the car is warmed up... so i thought that was the cause of my gass milage?
today i changed the oil, filter and the air filter... and in the proccess, i noticed that my coolant is completly empty. I filled it up and then i started the car and noticed that it was running normal at about almost 210. i took it for a drive and i noticed that it keeps going down as i speed up, and when i slow down, it goes back down to 140... when i have it sitting, it goes back up to 210? My question is it normal for the temp to go down as u drive over 45mph?????????? i never noticed that happening before when the temp always stayed at 210 when warmed up....
anyone??

Sounds to me like you are running the wrong thermostat. Swap it out with a new 195 degree thermostat. Get one from the dealership or anywhere else you can get OEM Mopar parts.

I agree with mrfajita. Start with a new 195 degree thermostat. I buy my stats from Jeep and also like the Stant Superstat. When was the coolant last changed? Good time for a complete flush and fill. Cooling system maintenance is extremely important. Pressure check or replace your radiator cap, inspect all hoses carefully.
How low was the coolant? Do you mean the coolant in the reservoir was empty or was the radiator low as well? You really need to isolate WHY the coolant level was low. This shouldn't happen. You most likely have a slow leak. Slow leaks can turn into a big leak in a microsecond and then you have bigger problems. Perform a comprehensive search for a leak for starters. Best to do it with a good light and with a hot/pressurized engine.
