Default Weird sound when I touch jeep

So I just got this 95 “JDM” xj RHD, and whenever i barely push down on the jeep it makes a weird pop/clunk sound. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear somewhere, but i’m not sure where. If anybody has any idea what it could be thank you

Mate, that title combined with your question...LOL....you're never going to get a sensible answer with that info,

Would it be an idea you crawl under, have a helper "touch" the XJ the same way you do, and you pinpoint down where it's coming from?

Lol it does sound weird, but I did crawl under the jeep and it sounds like its coming from the right rear shock area. other than that I can’t tell anything else

My vote is the tail pipe hitting the shackle.

Default Touch it harder

What happens when you touch it harder? Anything worse, or is it just that initial bump? My first thought is worn shocks.

its not the exhaust if i push down on the suspension it makes the noise, and i've looked at the tail pipe, it doesn’t move enough to hit the shackle

thats what i’m thinking is the shocks and if I jump up and down on the trailer hitch it makes the sound repeatedly and louder

Perhaps check the exhaust hanger at your crossmember?

Best way to confirm is to have someone else “touch” the Jeep sufficient to make the noise, while you’re under there holding suspicious parts, one at a time. You should be able to feel the popping noise transfer to your hand.

Just be careful to not get pinched anywhere.
