weird smell
P.S. for the newbs: stupid questions don't exist, there are only stupid answers. Feel free to ask whatever you want. "What is a Jeep?" is a good question.... this is in the sticky at the top of page i agree there is many questions that annoy me but i dont ever knock them if you dont like it dont answer its simple i would have thought

First off, Welcome to CF, despite some of the comments we look forward to your comments and questions.
2. The smell might be coming from many different things. My 2000 XJ smells like a myriad of different things after i use it. Cooked Cow crap from the exhaust burning off what i picked up on the farm, Burnt clutch from trying to climb what ever or lots of stop and go traffic. Mine even smells like coolant and baked metal from when i do use the air conditioning. Take a look around under-hood and see what is wet where and what it goes to or comes from.
3. Don't worry about others... sometimes you just gotta ask the question to get others opinions. I know that no one is perfect and will be the first to admit that there are times when i should know the answer but don't. Ignore idiots and be willing to ask because you might be surprised at what you can learn.
Best of luck and welcome to Cherokee Forum!

figured it out. i was changing tires the other day at work and i figured out it was leaking antifreeze from the engine and dripping on the exhaust. hence the smell. i put it on the lift and took a look at it. one of my freeze plugs got a leak. the farthest one back on the driver side is all corroded
