weird
Has anyone ever noticed that when you open the backseat door all the way and barely press it just a little further the pillar flexes where the hinges are attached. Is this normal or am I crazy
Just courtesy, when "crazy" is offered as an option, that's usually the answer. So I guess the answer is if you want to tear the offending door off, just tear it off.

Ok, Now this is crazy. I had to check this out. Guess what my 98 doesn't move. I suggest you check you pillar for cracks. I did push on the door pretty hard and still no flex in the pillar.

I recently put new struts on my hatch. Now I just open it about six inches and it springs up all by itself. I just have to remember to back outta the way as it opens rather aggressively. I tried pushing up on it to check for movement, but the only flexing I saw was in my biceps
OK I'll take the flame lol I was just concerned because it was noticable. I had a wrangler before this Cherokee so I'm in the dark. I hope it's not cracked but I won't doubt it till I open it up. It's missing the 2 roof supports so could be the culprit

Another busy day for kjc^^
Cracks happen. Both of these were right where water runs down from the gutter/seam. We get over 100 inches of rain here and a surprising amount of it ended up in my carpet.
I have a 66 Ford F-250. The left post where the tail-light and the tale-gate latch are got loose and could flop around. I had a welder/buddy go around and weld a whole little network of fine cracks there. I was a little surprised, came out solid as a rock, (like the rest of the truck!) It's fine to this day.
Idk about my Jeep. All that plastic, glass, rubber, paint, body putty. At least for your post you wouldn't need to remove the rear window if you had it welded.
