I guess you don't know how far back CherryBombs go. I put a 2 1/2 inch bomb on my XJ and it's not that loud enough to get a ticket and it sounds great. CherryBomb disturbing the peace since 1968!

To the OP... there actually is a correct way to install one...


Take a look down the tube.. Look at the placement of the holes on the inner sleeve. There should be small perforations that lead into the packing. Inside some of them there are small scoops that will direct the exhaust into the packing. You install them with these scoops facing the engine.

I have one on my 5.2l. Sounds pretty decent on it.. But it didn't sound very good on my 4.0l. Very hollow and tinny.
X2 yeah there not illegal in Washington. I lived there for 15 years and all of my friends ran them. One of which was the sheriffs son. In case legality has changed in the last two years just ask at some local shops.

I have a glass pack muffler on my 1994 XJ, and it isn't tinny like rice burners, it almost sounds like a Harley.
