When I took the old line off I used a breaker bar to collapse the line then it was malleable enough to snap it of with my hands. Didn't have to take pump or thermostat off. It was tit once I figured out a way to cut that steel hose

Cruiser54 practically writes his own TSBs. I'm sure he can figure out a crappy phone. Lol

Hey - I've got a question regarding this. I bought the duralast waterpump from autozone and went to put it back on. Someone had a brass piece on the old one so I removed it to put in my new one and noticed the new one (inlet top hose area) did not have threading for it to go in. Is it supposed to be threaded?

I took it back up there and they pulled the other ones off the shelf and they were all not threaded as well. Should I try to find one that is threaded, force thread it myself, or find a workaround? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks

Yes it should've been threaded. Don't buy your parts from Auto Zone.

Do yourself a favor and buy a Mopar pump on Ebay.

Just an update. I went to 2 other parts stores yesterday and every water pump they had for my jeep had the non-threaded inlet. I'm hesitant to buy one online because I cant confirm if it is or not.

I was thinking of just buying the correct inlet hose for the pumps they did have but the inlet hose looks like its threaded too from the image. Also, this pipe is not metal on mine, it is a hose that should slip onto the brass nipple from the waterpump.
