Default warn winch help

i have a warn m8000 , and it just stopped working , not long ago it started acting up where it would just click but if i hit the button a few times it work , so i assumed a solenoid was acting up , i let it go for the time being and the other day i had to pull my buddy out and the same thing , click a few times but then it worked normal , the motor pulled as strong as it ever did and pulled him right out , then after i disconnected from his truck and started to wind it up it just stopped working , i get clicking from the solenoids and the motor is not kicking on at all in either direction , i replaced the soilenoids and its doing the same thing , just clicking , i really dont think or atleast hope my motor didnt go because it pulled him out with no issues and stopped working with no tension , maybe got some bad solenoids or maybe another electrical connection problem ???? someone please help me

Clicking solenoids are an indication of low power. Check connections. Also, check your remote. My son has this winch and did not have reverse. He hooked up my remote and it worked perfectly.

I have a remote you can try out to eliminate that problem, depending on where in SNJ you are.

In his case it did nothing and he was trying to replace the solenoid. My thoughts were on the line of corroded switch contacts.

Check the ground at the winch to see if it is clean and tight.

+1 on checking connections. I seriously doubt its the motor. And I also agree with the clicking pointing to poor connections/low power.
