Default Valve Cover Gasket

Have new gasket. Auto supply house says "use no sealer". What do you think?

When all else fails, read the directions.

Um, directions say no sealant. Listen to them.

But, torque the valve cover to spec

Thumbs down Valve cover gasket

Thanks for the info. In the one case thanks for nothing; had their been directions I would have both read them and followed them.

It's not at all needed, but I do use a little "High Tack" on the rear of the gasket only because that's is where they are most prone to leaking.
