vacuum hoses on 2000 intake manifold
i lost a vacuum hose some how and have no idea where it goes but i know where it came from here are pics thanks yall.
it goes without saying but the hose that is missing is the bright brass-looking nub next to the other too hoses attached to the intake manifold

Hijack!!
Hello all I hate to hijack a thread but this is the closest thread to what I was looking for. I have a 98 Cherokee sport, and I am swapping in a 99+ intake manifold. Does anyone know the proper setup for the vacuum lines ETc. The 98 intake manifold has three ports on the side closest to the cockpit (firewall). I know I have to extend some lines but I am not sure how each line should hook up on the newer intake manifold! Any help would be appreciated.

Help Please
Anyone know, I really want to get the newer style intake manifold into my 98 cherokee. I have searched everywhere and cannot figure out how to rerun the map sensor, pcv valve, the correct way for my setup,without messin it up. The only one I think I have right is the brake booster line. Anyone help is appreciated!!!!

Thank you for posting this. It helped me reinstall my intake manifold. I forgot to attach the vacuum hose and it helped to see its location.

Just curious about this..but, why have the nipple at all if it just gets blocked off? My 2001 XJ is missing the block off plug from the far left nipple (wrt the pics) and I don't see any unattached hoses. Is the consensus that it should be blocked off, or is that just what people have done?

Sorry to boot this thread back up, but I wanted to update in case anyone else arrived here. At least on a 2001 XJ, the far left nipple is attached to a 90 degree bend vacuum tube that routes behind the engine along the firewall over to the far passenger side evap component known as a "Fuel Vapor Leak Detection Pump". In my case, I didn't see the vacuum hose that was attached there and I'd just swapped out my throttle body for a larger 62mm TB. Shortly thereafter, I got a CEL that was throwing code P1494. I was able to identify the location of the leak detection pump, followed the vacuum line and discovered where it was hiding. After promptly reconnecting back to the far left nipple on the intake manifold (as shown in the pictures, above) and resetting the ECM, the CEL is now gone and has not reappeared. Hope this helps! If you need to replace the leak detection pump, Duralast part ESM1008 is the correct part number.

Okay, this is the only thing i can find on the world wide Weber about this issue. So im going to post hoping someone will respond. I have the exact same issue 3 vac nipples an my fair left one is clean an brassy but no connection cant find it no where! and just like the original poster when i plug it with my finger the motor sound different ( almost better ) .. So with all that out of the way what was the fix? mine is 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0

On the Grand, I believe that's the supply to the leak detection pump which is down underneath the air filter box. The large one is for the Vapor Canister Purge and the other smaller one supplies the duty cycle purge solenoid. Those rubber elbows harden and crack, then pop off when the engine torques in the mounts. I fixed mine by looping regular hose in a circle so it has some flexibility.
I just checked both FSM's (for my WJ and XJ) and neither one shows vacuum line schematics.

Did you find the leak detection pump? It's mounted on the fender liner right up against the back of the headlight. The hose goes into the very bottom of it. It may come from the purge solenoid, but I refuse to go out in the snow to check on it. This is also on the GRAND Cherokee WJ.
