Good point, and observed as mentioned with regards to the heater blend gate. The question, therefore, goes from purpose to, is it necessary? If not necessary, or required specifically, am I fine to run without it? I ask because the vacuum motor isn't connected to anything, I don't have any of the air box parts at all, and honestly the ideology of "if it's not broken, don't fix it" comes to mind.
I guess it comes to: if it's not detrimental, why should I fix it?

Try it and see. When I was inquiring about using a smaller reservoir so I could mount it under the hood it seems the main issue would be low or inconsistent vacuum to the cruise control when engaged. I don't have cruise(WISHING I did though!).

I don't have cruise either... Sounds like I should be good as is. Maybe someone will chime in. Thanks for the info, honestly you have helped me track some things down

Mine has the later reinforced fork and a zip tie loosely keeping the vacuum lines from being knocked off. No problems and ZERO wear on my transfer case in 2WD.
Likely everyone in AZ has working AC. No problem then with 200* coolant circulating in the cab. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!
(mine turns off as designed)

Ok so this is starting to really bug me. When coming to a complete hard stop, I hear a grinding noise from passenger front. Also, when I am making a sharp turn, I squeek/squeal the front tires, withought 4wd engaged. This tells me that I am always engaged in 4wd, but as mentioned earlier it's not engaged ever? What's going on? And what could be the grinding noise?

Bearings are new, brakes are in good shape (still have 1/8th inch on inspection grooves) but my u-joints aren't the greatest. Guess that could be it, and they are on my list. Thanks. Wouldn't be anything else?

Forgot, also get a weird noise, same area, when taking off hard. So hard stop, hard accelerate from stop, and squelch tires on turns
