So my buddie is in the middle of installing a rubicon lift on his jeep and he asked me to come in and find out how to remove the center pin from the leaf springs. it sits right above the axle, i dont really know what to call it.

yeah its for an add a leaf install, not as if everything that could go wrong already did, i broke all 4 upper shock bolts, the brake line was rusted beyond belief and attempted to take it off, but did not want to break it, so im just on planning to replace part of the line.

anyone do an add-a-leaf install, and replace the center pin?
(i know add-a-leafs aren't the best way to lift, but with the funds i have i couldn't get the full leaf packs yet)

I cut my center pin with a grinder and installed new ones. The old pin didn't have enough thread to be reused on the pack with the extra leaf.

Yep should never remove center pins without a c-clamp holding things in place..

alright i got them out, snapped both, but i realized they just hold the pack together and drop in the hole, when i first saw it, it looked like the pin was pushed in from the bottom and impossible to replace or get out, and freaked out!
but all it good now
