Upgrading Injectors
Hey, guys. Not sure if this is the right place for this thread, so please let me know if it isn't.
Basically, I wanna put new injectors in my Cherokee, but don't wanna get stock ones. I've read about the upgrade to Dodge Neon "703" injectors and now I'm planning to do that. I went to the junkyard today and grabbed a few I could find, but I'm not sure if they're the right ones.
I pulled four out of a Neon and the numbers on the side are "0208150965". Any idea if these will work? If they won't, no problem at all. I was charged 75 cents per injector . I didn't see any 703's, so I decided to try these and ask if they'll work or not.
Thanks, guys!

Thanks, guys! I think I've got a good understanding of the swap now. I went to the JY today and found six 784 injectors with the EV6 plug. The injectors I found look BRAND NEW or just rebuilt or something. Not a bit of dirt or signs of wear on them. Since I didn't find a SINGLE 703 in the twenty-some cars I looked in, I figured "Hell, just put the EV6 connectors in the wiring...."
Am I thinking correctly that it would work like that instead of hunting down 703's? I would prefer to find them in a JY before buying them from somebody else, not that I wouldn't trust the seller. I don't see a difference in the connector wiring between the stock ones and the EV6, just the connector itself.

Okay, so I found the last couple injectors I'll need, which are 784's. I'm gonna put the newer style connectors in since my current ones are getting pretty bad (Not surprising since my Jeep has over 300K on it).
Gonna put them in this weekend when I have some time and don't need to go anywhere. Just a couple questions on my mind before I do it....When I put them in, I know I need to disconnect the battery and all that. Will I need to reset the computer before the first drive with them in, or should I see how it runs first?
Also, I have a feeling it wouldn't hurt to clean them first since they ARE from the JY. Any tips on doing that? I'm not sure what to clean them with....My brother suggested carb cleaner, but I'm not so sure about that. Maybe get a bottle of injector cleaner from the parts store and soak them in it?
