It is a recall part for a dodge dakota, the motor is the same if you change out the plastic gear. So essentialy you get a brand new wiper motor for very little$$. I did this to mine because my wipers would almost stop in the snow and I needed a motor and didn't want to shell out big$$ for an o.e. one
Good luck!
Captain Woot, can you elaborate on the "Plastic Gear?" Are you suggesting that the plastic gears inside the motor need to be swopped, or can the whole assembly be installed without modification to replace the old wiper motor and mechanism?Originally Posted by captainwoot
There is a little upgrade you can do with a little work, remove your wiper motor and linkage. Make sure your linkage/pivots are all in working order. Remove the cover on the wiper motor, remove the large gear and shaft. Get this part #CBTBD220 Windshield Wiper Module
