Default Unplugged Cable?

I just picked up a Cherokee Classic today, and am sorting through a few issues.
I'm new to Jeep, so go easy on me for now

The blower only blows through the defrost vent, and the cruise control doesn't work. From what I've researched, that appears to be a vacuum issue. I couldn't find anything tonight, so I'm going to search first thing in daylight.

While searching around the bay, I noticed this unplugged. I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes.....

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I should mention, the previous owner removed the airbox and installed a cone filter. I plan on putting an airbox back in. Not sure if that connector could have gone to it.

Could that plug be for the hood lite?

Is the light attached to the hood, or should there be one attached? I know the hood is not original to the Jeep, so maybe?

Well, I looked again.
I don't see a light attached to my hood.
Should there be?

All Cherokees that I have seen, have had the plug, even if they supposedly never came with the hood light.

Thanks for the clarification.
Maybe I'll make an LED strip and slice that in

Regarding your leak. Under the bumper on the passenger side there is a plastic ball. Make sure the hose is attached to it. They're always coming off.

I checked that and it was attached.
I did find the leak though.
It was somewhat hidden, tucked behind some hoses, center-top of the firewall.
Apparently the line got melted shut.
I replaced that section (from engine to first T) and both the climate controls and cruise control are working great. Thanks!
