Default unlocking locked doors

I've locked my keys inside & would like to know if anyone has a good way to unlock the doors. My ex son-n-law was able to unlock it with a slimjim & I've had pop-a-lock do it for me a couple of times. I've been trying with a coat hanger, but no luck. Any tips?

TIA, Deckman

Not around here they won't...You have to call a locksmith or know someone with a slim jim...local cops here will not do it due to liability issues.. You can get into the rear hatch door by removing the striker bolts from under the rear behind the gas tank..I dunno if you can get to them depending on your year model..

Yeah, cops won't do it here either. I'm still jacking with it. '98 moldel, I'll look for those striker bolts along with trying my coathanger.

I suggest calling a locksmith. The cost of a locksmith is usually less than damage you might do trying to get in the car yourself. They are (usually) trained and have proper tools to do it right, without damage.
AAA has lockout service, if you're a member...but tow-truck drivers can be a bit impatient/over-enthusiastic/under-trained/ somewhat-lacking-in-finesse and can cause extensive damage, especially if electric locks are involved. (Ask me how I know this...)
HTH!
Good luck!

I'd also recommend having a spare key made and keep it in your wallet (or something you know you'll have on you at all times).

Learned that lesson when I too locked my keys in my Jeep (long story).

Did you try the tennis ball thing to unlock the doors. It seems to work on Imports anyways. Never seen it tried on an XJ though. Watch this
