Default underside rust and rocker panels

I have an 89 laredo. The underside of the drivers side along the rocker panels is rusted pretty bad. At least 4-5 small holes about the size of a penny. Both rocker panels are rusted with the drivers side panel rusted away towards the back wheel well. On the drivers side the area around where the front of the leafspring connects is also rusted thin. The beams seem to be in good shape as do the wheel wells.

Can these areas be fixed? The area around leafspring concerns me the most. I would probably have a body shop do the work.

I would like to get the underside fixed up and coated before winter. The interior of the jeep looks brand new. The engine has 150,000 and is running good.

The car has some sentimental value to me otherwise and might just run it as is.

Thanks
BIH

Can you post pictures of the problem areas?

And you can weld in Box steel and make rock sliders

Or if you want it to look original you can get replacement panels. Both need to be welded in.

I guess its the area where the leafspring mounts I question the most. The area is under the back set. Does most of the weight get transfered into the beam that it connects to or into the floor? The beam is in good shape.

I will get a pic posted.

Thanks

Any ideas if this area is fixable? Heard good things about a body/collision shop down the road from me. Going to make an appt there.

Thanks!
