Looking to replace front shaft U joints . Any recomendations on high quality ones ? Has anyone done this recently?

 

Make sure the joint you buy has normal zerg fittings...
I just got one last month that you couldn't connect to and needed a pin attachment to the grease gun.

Sealed Spicer joints are the gold standard.

 

Where are your getting your spicers?

 

I used Delco joints almost exclusively and was happy enough with them. $14/each. Spicer runs about $22. If you are really cranking on the drivetrain, get the spicers. For daily driver use the Delco's are fine.
RockAuto has both + some other brands if you can't find them locally.

 

I found Amazon has the best deals on U-Joints, Balljoints, and a bunch of other stuff along with awesome shipping (i already have amazon prime.)

Believe I picked up regreaseable Moog or Spicers from Napa or Oreilly or somewhere. Keep your neighbors working by shopping at a store nearby.

 

I don't understand why anyone would get ujoints without a zerk fitting.

 

easy, so you dont have to grease them

The greasable ones have a hole drilled through the center of the u joint.If its just a daily driver you can use either style u joints,If its a off road toy then sealed or upgrade to something like ctm.
