Default U Joint Advice - Greaseable vs Non-Greasable

RockAuto com has U joints ranging from $8 - $18 each.

Brands are AC Delco and Precision - some are greaseable and some are non-greaseable.

which ones should I purchase

For a $10 difference, I'd spring for the best ones you can find. The greasable, non-greasable question boils down to two things,...greasable may last longer,...if you grease then regularly. Greasable however are also susceptible to stress cracks where the fitting is located and weaker.

I prefer a very high quality non-greasable u-joint. You will get different opinions for sure. Oh and to my knowledge, RockAuto doesn't sell a u-joint that I'd consider "very high quality". Not many people do in my opinion. I like Spicer, but even then some wold say they had become questionable. I recently bought Duralast Gold u-joints from Autozone as a stop-gap in an emergency. Not sure how long they will last and I will admit, I'm nervous about them. I bought them only because when they break (if they break) I can return them for a refund at any time.

I see as I was posting a very good recommendation was made. I'd spring for those too honestly. I wouldn't worry about those at all.
