Default Two tires on our cherokee has a leak

On the front right and rear left tire air is going down. My father is very much neglecting it and I am worried my mother can drive and she can get a flat. I thought one day I would go to Autozone and buy the plugs. Will it be hard if I do it? Also the tires are brand new and as little as 2 months old. Do you think the dealer should fix it? Any help would be appreciated. Please forgive me if this type of thread is out there already lol. Just want to hear other peoples opinions. Thanks

take them back where you got them and make sure its something in the tire. or if they are leaking from the bead. but if you go get a tire plug kit its not that hard to plug one. but those plugs are not that great take it to a tire shop or back to dealer to have it fixed

unless you can take your rim off the tire i dont think u should go tryin to fix the hole yourself...take it to the tire shop they only charge like 6 dollars for a patch up!.

Best to take it to a tire shop, have the tires dismounted, fixed properly and reinstalled and balanced. Not that expensive.

Everything rides on your tires. Including the passengers!

DON"T neglect getting the tires checked

I work part time at a Sears Auto Center and have repaired many a tire.
Plugs are good for emergencies, but they deteriate after a year or so causing a slow leak. Best to have a shop remove the tire, check the inside and insert a proper combo plug that seals the hole and patches the inside also.

Reasons to have it checked

(1) there may be a nail in the tire
(2) bead area where tire seals may have corrosion which NEEDS to be wire brushed off for a proper seal. (Common on Aluminum wheels)
(3) running on low tire pressure below 15psi will overheat the inside of the tire wall damaging it will cause a BLOW OUT.
(4) have seen the inside of many a tire that has overheated, and can show the customer a hand full of powdered rubber- Can you spell NEW TIRE

are you sure there are punctures?
If the rims are aluminum they could just need a cleaning, one of my tires kept loosing air cuz oxidation on the bead let air slip past.

Have the shop that installed the tires fix them, they may not even charge you for it.

About 20 minutes ago I went to the gas station which is right next to my house luckily and when I tried filling air to the rear left tire I found the leak was from the valve stem. Well that sucks but I just quickly went home and put on a spare and I hope Goodyear is open tomorrow so they can fix it.

New valve stems should always be installed any time a tire is replaced, unless they are full metal valve stems, then the rubber grommets should at least be inspected for cracks.
