Two Door XJ Tech
Starting this post to house part numbers and sources for the harder to find 2 door parts.
Took me a while, a couple of months actually, but finally sourced completely new window regulators! CarQuest has them for $175 before tax. It's a hefty price to pay but when the PO removed the entire regulator so I can't fix the broken one, it's a necessary evil I suppose.
I'll post the part number when I get it. Let me know what you've found while repairing your 2 door. Included the year and I'll make master lists for the pre and post '97s.

One of the other things I'm curious about is the rear quarter panels. I had emailed Napier about their flat flares and why they are different between the 4 door and the 2 door models and they said the 4 door flats with the quarter panels cut won't look good on the 2 door because there would be gaps. Anyone have a 2 door and a 4 door to compare the two?

Thanks for the moparamerica link.
When i needed a 2door window regulator, i first check every known auto parts store including Rock auto and a few other on-line sites. Can't remember if i checked CarQuest, very few of them around here. Just about everyone had 4door regulators.
Although NAPA said they could get the motor but not the whole regulator.
Last resort was to check the local Chrylser Jeep dealer. Nope, no longer available.
Moparamerica must of acquired a crap load of surplus mopar parts years ago is all i can think of.

I am taking a chance with the fix I've seen online to repair the stripped plastic part that raises & lowers the window:

On its way and will take it all apart this weekend.

StephenPet FYI,
when i removed my 2door regulator, i did a post mortem on it.
The drive gears, both tracks and the rest of the regulator was fine.
The problem was worn out brushes in the motor.
Could of saved myself a lot of money by just buying a new motor from NAPA.
Unless you know for sure the plastic spring mounting pieces are broke and if you haven't already pulled the old regulator i'd give it a good look over before ordering that kit.
According to that website, 4door regulators are more prone to breaking because of the single track. The 2door regulators have two tracks which puts less stress on those plastic mounting pieces.
Edit: i re-read your post and see you already ordered the kit. I'll leave my story as is for future reference.

Yes, the kit arrived. Tomorrow is the day. My fingers are crossed this is the fix for I can hear the motor churning with no activity. Was hesitant to take it all the way apart and not have parts in hand. I will post my findings for future reference. Thank you!!

Any chance you have the 2DR Motor Part Numbers from NAPA (Driver / Passenger) ?

My recently acquired 2000 2 door XJ’s driver window won’t roll up or down. When I bought it 2 weeks ago, it would roll up and down VERY sluggishly, and only intermittently. Now it doesn’t function at all and I can’t even hear the motor trying to roll it up or down. I’m guessing I have a wiring issue or the motor part of the regulator has failed. Will a MOTOR from a 4 door connect to my 2 door’s regulator? I can’t find a regulator anywhere.
side note, I just put in a new switch from switch doctor and that fixed the issue of only being able to roll the passenger window down from the drivers side.
