It's the same plug as a Ford.

I've found that it's most important that you clean and tighten the spade connector for the brown wire so it grasps the terminal of the headlight switch tightly. The melted plastic shouldn't be an issue.

I seem to be having the same problem. Are there any other diagrams where this is located and how to take it out?

Just went and pulled mine. It is burnt up my plug looks like the one at the top of the page. Will it be ok to reuse cruiser54 said just crimp the end of the brown wire a little tighter?

Its always better to get a new plug if you can locate it easily enough dorman products should carry it . Your time frames the decideing factor.What year we liinkg at ?

It is an 86. I have four major parts stores down the road from me so they should be able to find it for me unless you have the part number.

Good news and bad. Blinkers work now but no one had the plug in stock. Going to run with it for now like this. I have got a lot more headaches under the hood now to take care of.
