turn signals not working

Default turn signals not working

i have a '91 cherokee sometimes the turnsignals just dont want to flash the hazards work fine could the turn signal switch possibly be bad

Maybe.

Does the arrow indicator turn on and stay on or do you get nothing when you press the switch. If it only happens sometimes you should be able to manipulate the switch to get it to work. if jiggling the switch makes it work then you need a switch. If the light comes on but doesn't flash. you probably need a flasher. Hopefully that gets you started.

jiggling doesnt do any thing for it the indicator lights up when turned on, its crazy one time they work the next they dont

do the dash indicators stay on solid and not flash when it happens?

Staying on steady usually indicates a bad flasher not a bad switch. the switch is doing what it needs to do.

Mine stayed solid when the switch went bad.

he also has a 1991. your 98 (assuming this is the one you replaced it on) is likely set up differently. i believe 96/97 they switched over
