Default turn signal help

So I'm looking for some help with my 99 Cherokee. I have a problem with my turn signals not working, and I can't figure out what is wrong. First off I changed out my clockspring and everything was working. Then slowly my turn signals would only work once in a while. So I put in a new turn signal indicator switch and that did not fix the problem. Now they started to not work at all. I'll engage the signal and nothing, and while it is engaged for some time it will randomly work for a second. I have no problem with my high beam and hazard lights at all. So I'm stumped. Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Just had another member here go through 5 aftermarket multifunction switches. The 6th one worked. Where did you get the replacement? Not that that's necessarily the issue, I'd replace the combination flasher under the dash first, they cause trouble.

Yeah its after market. I bought it from Amazon and it wasn't cheap, cost about 50.00. So what is the combination flasher, and where under the dash is it.
Thanks for the help.......

On a '99 I'm pretty sure it's behind the driver's knee panel, in the vicinity of the headlight switch. Might be taped to the harness back there.

Default Turn Signal Problem Solved

I just had similar issue with turn signals not working. First thing I did was replace the flasher relay (EP27 from AutoZone) since it only takes 2 minutes. This did not fix. I then checked the 4 way flashers and discovered the flasher switch was neither in the on or off position. Turned 4 way flashers on then off and now turn signals work! Wow, that was easy. Might give this a try before taking everything apart.

And check your rear bulb sockets.
They get a lot of moisture & corrosion.

I had a similar issue (although yours sounds like wiring) but wasn't about to spend $30 on a flasher. I just put my hazard Flasher in and it works great now. Put my turn signal flasher where the hazard flasher goes and I sort I have hazards but not that bright. But turn signal is more commonly used. Temp fix for me
