When people think switch, they look for something that SWITCHES positions. Like a light switch.
"Connector" is also a terrible vague descriptor, as both sides CONNECT. Doesn't tell you a damn thing.
It should be called "female connector" and "male connector".
Then it would have been way more clear what I was even looking at.
This thread is exactly why most people pay $100 to have a pro change their air filter.
It is a switch. Controlled by pressure. Its not a sensor. Its a switch.
The connector is a connector because it connects to the switch.

Dam bimmer you where doing so good with being smart about stuff....... New year, same tard.

I created an account just to post,
Stumbling upon this was my entertainment for the week,
Must read, can't stop reading, nor head shaking and laughter
How I found this comedy gold IDK but WOW.
Bringing this thread back from the grave I guess...

I do have one question... I'm troubleshooting my father in law 06 Grand Cherokee Laredo, I plan to jump the AC clutch relay to add freon to the system, I want to be 100% I know which 2 points of contact to make in the relay.
It has 5 prongs if I remember right.
From my research it will be...
30 and 87 or30 and 87a
A simple photo or paint sketch would be great.
If the relay has these labeled on top then I can follow it.

I just DO NOT want to fry anything on someone else's vehicle [if it were mine I would guess]
