Maillady, that AW 4 is a remarkably tough, durable transmission. (granted, doing mail routs is extra hard on them). I suggest you follow Ken's advice and find out what you can. (yea, on the RHD, the TCU is likely on the left). Now and then a TCU will fail, and that replacement TPS might be suspect as well. Excellent sign that the fluid is fine.

"P0700 EATX Controller DTC Present This SBEC III or JTEC DTC indicates that the EATX or Asin controller has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a CCD (EATX) or SCI (Aisin) message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via CCD or from the Aisin via ISO-9141. "

Finding out all you can for starters can only help, even if you do end up going in....for....something......

Sorry about that. Forgot you have a RH drive Jeep. The TCM is to the left of the steering column.

Cheers.

Thumbs up

Took the jeep to the shop so they could check it out. Told him everything we had done to it. He started checking different things out to check the codes. I forgot to tell him we had some problems with some of the wiring on the wiring harness, when he unplugged one of the connectors it fell apart. He thought that may have been the problem, we told him to go ahead and replace it (we had already seen that it was in bad shape and tried to make some repairs on it). It didn't solve the problems with shifting. He checked the NSS, it was busted, put a new one on, still shifted funny. He said he needed to drop the pan so he could check the solenoids ( he said that even though we had replaced them they could be faulty or could have gotten fried by the faulty wiring), so he checked them out and one of the connectors on one of them was unplugged. Picked it up today and seems to be shifting as it should. After a week in the shop and $900 later I may be on the road again. Let you know if I have any problems. Thanks for the help.
