Up here in the rust belt, we have problems with porcupines chewing brake hoses for the salt flavoring! It happened to my buddies car when we camped overnight in the mountains. On top of a mountain! This was an older car with the old single circuit brake system and we had to come down the mountain in first gear (stick) using the parking brake! I will never forget THAT ride!

 

Never heard of that one, ouch! We have pack rats and other rodents eating cars around here, and if it's been parked a while you have to watch out for black widows and rattlers under it.

 

We find cars that have been parked in the tall weeds for a long time develop wasp and hornet nests under the hood! Open the hood, hear a buzzing, take off running before you see if it even has a motor in it! Not cool!
