hello all, I’ve got a 99 Cherokee classic with an automatic transmission. Last night the check engine light came on, I put our code reader on it and it said there were no codes. I took it to an auto parts store today and their code reader didn’t find a code but did get an error message that said “transmission malfunction present” the transmission seems to shift fine, very smooth and no different than it has always been. I checked the trans fluid and it’s full. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.
